Manager of Software Engineering
Kenny Yokoyama is a Manager of Software Engineering at Shield AI. He has over a decade of experience in Linux administration. Kenny also has hands-on system integration software development experience spanning from embedded systems to cloud infrastructure. Kenny presented an early interest in Software Engineering; at age 16, he reversed engineered video games to bypass cheat protection mechanisms. Kenny earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UCSD. While studying at UCSD, Kenny developed an autonomous ground based robot which tracked and followed an RC helicopter which was showcased by UCSD’s CSE department.

How did you first learn about Shield AI? I first heard about Shield AI from a classmate of mine from UCSD. He had just accepted a position with the company, and he shared with me how excited he was about the opportunity to work on ‘cool robotics’ after graduation.
