Dr. Josh Harguess received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, Tempe. His MS degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin and his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. His broad research interests lie in the areas of computer vision, machine learning, and robotics. Prior to joining Shield AI, he was with SPAWAR Systems Center, Pacific focusing on research in computer vision and machine learning applied to applications of interest to the Navy and DoD. He has worked on object detection and tracking, video content analysis, 3D model generation, and Augmented Reality. He is an active researcher in these areas with more than 45 publications and 5 patents. He is a member of SPIE, IEEE, CVF, and ACM.
